As part of our campaign to invite Filipinos to uphold and defend the principles of liberal democracy, we continuously present updates on the work of our global partners. These activities reflect the shared values and objectives upheld by the Liberal Party of the Philippines and its vast network of liberal party counterparts across the world.
Young Filipino liberals aren't alone. The International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) recently held its 53rd General Assembly in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, from May 9th to May 12th, 2024.
The event gathered young liberals from across the globe to discuss and promote liberal values and policies. A significant highlight of the assembly was the inclusion of 18 new organizations as observers, associates, and full members, reflecting the growing appeal of liberalism among youth worldwide.

The assembly also featured policy debates and workshops aimed at fostering collaboration and idea exchange among the member organizations. Key topics of discussion included strategies for enhancing youth participation in politics, sustainable development, and the promotion of human rights.
This year's General Assembly marked a milestone in IFLRY's efforts to expand its global footprint and reinforce its commitment to liberal democracy. The event underscored the organization's dedication to empowering young people and shaping a more inclusive and democratic future.
